Africa is fast showing the world that it can solve its own problems. Africa is showing that it can solve problems, even without shedding blood.

Gambian President Yayah Jameh has finally agreed to leave both power and the country. The deal is that he will not be prosecuted and that he will be free to visit the country when he wants. There are so many people who would have wanted him prosecuted and there are mnay who still love him.

Ecowas pressured him to leave office after losing the election. Is this good for Africa and the world? Is it bad to protect a former President? Is this not setting precedence?

Whether you call it compromise or maturity, Africa has shown that it can solve its problems without shedding blood
