Some people are born to lead, others are born to oppose. Mozambican opposition leader Alfonso Dhlakama seems to have been born to oppose. Since late 1980s, Dhlakama has vehemently opposed the ruling Revolutionary Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (Frelimo) through a rebel outfit the Mozambican National Resistance Army (Renamo) but has not won any election.
Dhlakama has accounted from many deaths in Mozambique and Zimbabwe. More than twice he has been in inclusive government, each time pulling out to start a bush war.
If anything, the man has destabilised Mozambique with sponsorship from some European countries that support his ant-communist stance.
